Distance Learning Administration Network
The Distance Learning Administration was established in 2025, in collaboration with the University of London, to offer support to colleagues who support the administration side of distance learning courses. This includes everything from initial course enquiries, all the way through study and graduation, with encounters in enrolment processes, assessment management and handling queries from students along the way. The group is designed for those in distance learning administration who had reported to the BLE a feeling of isolation and lack of understanding about their area of work. The aim is to answer these concerns by providing a space to enable DL administrators to connect with peers, to exchange practice, to share challenges, and to discover new ways of working.

"It was wonderful to join the session. I was happy to hear from colleagues navigating similar challenges, and it was exciting to create our version of the 'perfect student'. It felt like the conversation could have gone on for hours, I absolutely loved the energy in the room and online!
"It was also nice to know, that I’m not alone in some experiences/processes, and I picked up a couple of useful ideas around processes that I’m hoping to put into practice. I also hope I was able to share, and hoping to continue to share, some good practice from our side that might be helpful to others."
