GenAI
The GenAI Special Interest Group steers the BLE's work in supporting, accommodating and managing the challenges of GenAI in a Higher Education setting. Comprising representatives from each BLE partner, the SIG directs the activity and develops projects as identified from wider consultation with our community regarding what our partners need to fill gaps or enhace their local provisions. For example, the Group has curated a catalogue of tried-and-tested AI tools and platforms , recommended courses and guidance material that can be accessed and repurposed by our community.
The SIG also organises AI-related events and webinars for all staff based in our consortium. In Spring 2026, we are running a workshop aimed at colleagues in supporting roles (such as digital education, library services and academic and student support) to help navigate the complex world of GenAI policy and practice in HE. Our events are announced internally across the BLE; details will appear on our online listings here.
The SIG is chaired by the BLE Director. For further information about participating, please contact us here.
