The BLE Partner Community

Essentially, the BLE is the community; the Executive Team facilitates the exchange of practice and support. Our community consists of people in a variety of posts within our partner institutions. We run a range of groups, meetings, sessions, events and courses to bring our community together.

Coaching & Wellbeing
Specialised team and individual coaching are available to full BLE partners. As teams change and grow, they need to refresh their sense of mission and identity. Team awaydays, visioning sessions and annual planning and reviewing can be powerfully enhanced through BLE facilitation since we truly understand their context and potential. This close support is ongoing throughout the year, where progress is continually evaluated and resilience built up. We can, on request, organise work-shadowing to share practice between participants and a mentoring opportunity for early career and long-standing staff in our community.

BLE Special Interest Groups
Staff members from BLE partner Institutions are welcome to join or participate in our range of Special Interest Groups.

Other Groups
MUGGL Group (Moodle User Group Greater London)
The BLE founded MUGGL in 2011 and continues to co-manage the Group. MUGGL brings together Moodle administrators and
developers to share practice, seek mutual help and guidance and to discuss developments and improvements to usage. MUGGL is open to all Moodle using HE institutions within the M25 area; it meets termly and offers members an active mailing list.
Sarah Sherman founded MUGGL and colleagues from the BLE are members of the organising committee.

M25LT Group (M25 Learning Technology)
A regional members’ group of ALT, the M25 LTG meets termly and has an active mailing list; all partner institutions of the BLE attend meetings and make use of the mailing list. A member of the BLE TEL Support Team is part of the M25LTG Organising Committee. As a consortium, the BLE has regularly presented at meetings on current projects and ongoing work to disseminate but also gain insightful feedback from local experts.
Julian Bream is one of the coordinators along with other BLE colleagues.

UCISA Digital Education Group
UCISA's Digital Education Community provides a forum for the free exchange of information and ideas for anyone interested in the development and practical use of Technology Enhanced Learning in support of teaching and successful student achievement.
Sarah Sherman, plus some other colleagues from the BLE, is a member of the organising committee.
